With the E-flite F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF (Electric Ducted Fan) jet, more pilots can enjoy flying a replica of the iconic fighter than ever before! Developed for the U.S. Navy, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat made its first deployment in 1974 aboard the USS Enterprise, replacing the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II. This E-flite model is based on the F-14D Super Tomcat variant and the factory-applied finish pays homage to Strike Fighter Squadron 2 (VFA-2), also known as the famous "Bounty Hunters". During its 2002-2003 deployment the final cruise with the Tomcat VF-2 participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom flying reconnaissance, close air support, CAP and strike missions. The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF recreates the VF-2 fighter down to the functional variable-sweep wings and full-flying stabs to deliver an authentic and unique flying experience. It's scaled to be practical for more pilots to fly and afford because it's compatible with popular 4S 2200mAh batteries. Plus it's equipped with exclusive AS3X and optional-use SAFE Select technologies making it easier to fly than any other TOPGUN Tomcat EDF model yet!

The twin 40mm fans and brushless outrunner motors are compatible with affordable and common 4S 2200mAh 30+C batteries to deliver an excellent blend of performance and flight times. Full-flying stabs and functional 3-position variable-sweep wings deliver an incomparable flying experience you can't get anywhere else. The fully-moulded EPO airframe is durable, lightweight, and factory-finished to pay tribute to the U.S. Navy's VF-2 "Bounty Hunters" squadron. Already own a Spektrum transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!
Exclusive Technologies
This is the first F-14 Tomcat model equipped with exclusive Spektrum AS3X and SAFE Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. Optional-use SAFE Select offers pitch and bank angle limits along with automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the flip of a switch to make this an easier to fly Tomcat!
Telemetry Capability
The F-14 Tomcat Twin 40mm EDF is equipped with a control unit including a receiver and ESCs that provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including motor RPM, current, battery voltage and more to compatible Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX20 and others) while you fly.
High Power EDFs
The factory-installed brushless power systems feature 40mm fans with high RPM outrunner motors. This twin power system setup is designed to deliver excellent performance with popular 4S 2200mAh 30+C batteries.

Gear Options
